This is a pretty simple project. So simple it's hard to name it a tutorial. When I have company around the holidays I usually put out some candy and everyone always asks what it is if it's not written on the wrapper. This pretty much is a decorative way to solve that problem.
You will need:
a small vase, jar, glass, anything clear and with a wide enough mouth to fit your hand in
sturdy paper {I used cardstock}
thin ribbon {or thicker depending on the jar/glass you are using}
fancy shmancy scissors
hole puncher {I had a little star one but ended up not using that one}
a pen {or you can use your printer}
candy, or course!
Here's what you do {if you couldn't figure it out on your own}:
Tie your ribbon around your glass. {don't make the bow yet like I did and had to undo to tie the label on} |
Use your scissors to cut a square, rectange, whatever. Label the candy. My candy wrappers said what they were so I just wrote "Take One" on mine. |
Tie it onto the ribbon and make a bow. |
Fill with candy {in gold, red, silver or green wrappers to be festive} |
Leave it out and have your guests have at it. |
It would look nice to have a few different jars/glasses in different sizes on the table each with a different color wrapped candy.
