{Review} Salonpas Pain Relieving

I was recently sent a package of Salonpas Pain Relieving Products to try out. I was pretty happy to get to take advantage of these products because 1) crocheting gives me bad neck pain 2) I always seem to have back pain 3) Sleeping with a restless toddler in the bed sometimes gives me major pain and finally 4) running around and horse-playing with Bug gets to me at times.

So when you get pain relief products to try you have to wait for some pain. It didn't take long until one morning I woke up with a super sore neck. Bug was having trouble sleeping so she climbed in with us and I must have slept a really bad way because in the morning I could barely turn my neck without feeling lots of pain! I have to say, I was a little happy I was in pain so I could finally try these products out. Weird, huh?

I grabbed a Salonpas Gel-Patch Hot and slapped it on the area that was in pain. It was a little hard to put it on myself because it was from the front of my neck around to the back. Hubby wasn't home to help me but I needed something! The way I first put it on didn't hold well but when I repositioned it it stayed on with me cleaning and playing with Bug for hours. It had a bit of a stronger smell than I expected but it wasn't too bad. After you put it on give it about 3-5 minutes until you feel it working. It got nice and hot feeling and my neck started to feel better after just a half hour of wearing the patch.

See how it's going up my neck? I think it didn't stick well because of my hair.
After I repositioned it, it held very well.

The next day my neck still hurt, but it wasn't in as much pain as the day before. Since I was going out this day I used the Salonpas Massage Foam. I massaged it in until the crackling noise stopped just as instructed. After about 5 minutes it was sweet bliss! It felt all tingly and I loved it!

I am keeping the Salonpas Massage Foam in my crochet bag now. My neck is always in pain from crocheting. This way when the pain strikes I can just reach in and massage it in!

Just a quick note: only use one Salonpas product/patch at a time.

All of the Salonpas products retail at under $10.00 each. Not too bad when you consider a one time massage is anywhere from $60-$100 to start. I have received professional massages before for my pain and honestly don't feel it took the pain away any better than Salonpas did. Pain relief for more than half the price? Yes please!

Salonpas sent me the product for free for the purpose of review. The opinions in this post are my own.
