Crochet Barefoot Sandal {Free Crochet Pattern}

Bug is the type of kid {like a lot others I know} who hate wearing shoes and socks...no matter how cold it is inside! These won't exactly keep your kiddos feet warm...but they will look friggin' cute as anything! Even Bug wore them for hours since her feet were still pretty free. She has been loving the Dora dance episode and calls them her dancing "shoes". Love it!

Barefoot Sandals Pattern {toddler size}

Ch 10 & join to form a ring
2 Sc in ring
Ch 2, turn {counts as 1st dc now and throughout}, dc in 1stst, 2 dc in next st {4 dc made}
Ch 2, turn, dc in 1st st, dc in next 2, 2 dc in last dc {6 dc made}
Ch 2, turn, dc in 1st st, dc in next 4, 2dc in last {8 dc made}
Ch 2, turn, dc in 1st st, dc in next 6, 2dc in last {10 dc made}

Ankle strap options:

Loop-
Ch 20 and join on opposite dc of row {on the other side}

Tie-
Ch 20 {or more} and fasten off. Join on other side and ch same amount. Two ties created.

To put on, put on large ankle strap then pull toe strap over toe.

You can leave these the way they are or you can add a cute little flower to each. I like this flower pattern from Mel P. Designs. I made the flower with an F hook.

Please keep in mind I'm not really a pattern writer so if you find a mistake or have a suggestion you can nicely comment or email me. :)

For smaller/larger patterns you can just make the rows until it reaches a little below the ankle and chain the ankle strap until it reaches around {it will stretch so you don't ch too much} You can also try a smaller hook size for those itty bitties.

I'd love to know if you make these! You can post a photo on my Facebook wall or shoot me an email!
