A look into the Etsy shop Treacher Creatures

Take a look into the wonderful shop of Treacher Creature!

What made you want to become an artist?
I have always been creative and loved making things. Over the years I have made so many things from jewelery, artist bears and painting landscapes. Now I am passionate about plush art, whether that be sock creatures or fleece animals.

What is your favorite item to create?
I love making sock or fleece dragons.

What advice would you give to new artists on Etsy?
Keep creating and make what excites you and inspires you. Most of all keep listing.

How do you promote your work?
I promote through facebook, twitter, the Etsy forums and other social networking sites such as UK Handmade.

Do you have any websites connected to your shop (blog, facebook, twitter)?
You can find me at:
twitter.com/DSquiffy
www.facebook.com/treachercreatures

What is the inspiration for your work?
Socks. I love all the colors and patterns that are available and I have crates full of all kinds.

Do any of your items go toward a special cause?
I have just joined the Etsy Plush Team and will be listing some creatures in the team shop that will be sold in aid of charities.

Do you have a job outside of Etsy? How do you handle both?
I am a full time mother and carer too and sewing fits in very well.

Where do you create?
I work in the family sitting room, with a cozy chair and daylight lamp surrounded by crates of socks and other materials.

What are your goals for your shop?
To keep developing the creatures that I make. I especially want to list more fleece animal designs. My shop allows me to keep creating, without it our house would be overflowing with creatures as I sew everyday.

What a wonderful shop, right? These creatures are adorable!
You can buy them here.
Here are some of my faves from her shop:

Sock badger

Pair of Sock Love Birds
Sock Snail
Thank you so much for letting us take a look into your shop and learning a bit about you!
