{Mmm, Mmm, Mondays} with Kati from Around the Plate

Kati is sharing a recipe with us today that was specifically made for Bug based on her favorite foods! I was so excited to see what Kati whipped up and let me tell you, it is delish! I also knew she would send me a healthy recipe since she blogs about nutrition over at Around the Plate. Not only that, but she has expert guest posts, great recipes and she teaches you how you can be healthier.

Cina-nana Rolls

1 slice of cinnamon raisin bread

1 banana
1 tbsp sunflower seed butter
1 tbsp preserves
Cinnamon (optional)
Whipped cream (optional)

Directions:

1. Take your slice of cinnamon bread and remove the crust. Flatten with a rolling pin and then cut the bread length wise into 1 - 1 1/2 inch strips.
2. Spread the preserves on the bread and then the sunflower seed butter.
3. Slice the banana and place a few pieces on one end of the bread strips.
4. Roll up the bread strip. This roll up should stick together because of the peanut butter - make sure you add enough.
5. Sprinkle cinnamon over the top of the cinna-ana roll and serve. You could also add a little whipped cream on top here.
