Kool-Aid & Glue = Awesome!

This project was kind of stumbled upon {not as in I found it on stumble upon...as in I actually stumbled upon it and it turned out cool}.

Bug wanted to do a project with glitter {she calls them sprinkles} but we were fresh out. I had some Kool-Aid sitting around so I figured why not sprinkle that on some glue and see what happens. We loved the results! We used gift boxes from our Christmas gifts since paper was too flimsy and it was a great way to recycle some instead of throwing them out.

Here's what we did:

 Take a couple colors of Kool-Aid...
 ...spread around some glue...
 ...and sprinkle it on. {hint for older kids...less is more} Bug didn't care and piled it on in some spots. Those spots got really dark! We like to encourage her to do it her own way though.
 This is when it was first sprinkled on.
 This is a few minutes later when it soaked in and the colors spread a little.
 I will warn you, your child's hands {or your hands...or both} will be stained with Kool-Aid.
 I had Bug soak her hands in soapy water. Thought it would be fun popping the bubbles and turning the water colors...and it was! But it didn't take the Kool-Aid off...at all!
So I did the research for you and if you scrub your hands gently with toothpase {any kind} and a wash cloth it will come right off. Easy peasy. (whew, that was a close one}
