About Nicolette's shop:
My shop is a children's boutique shop with one of a kind, custom creations. I design and sew my own clothes. Originally the shop was just for lil girls, but I have expanded to babies, art (room decor), and will be putting some boys clothes in sometime in the near future. Each piece of clothing I create I make a one of a kind by making the trim a bit different or a slight change in a fabric. I like to think of each design is a piece of art.
About Nicolette:
I am a mom of two lil girls (6 and 4). My oldest has a rare form of Spina Bifida, so I give part of my proceeds to the Spina Bifida Association. Spina Bifida is the number one birth defect in the world and they still don't know what causes it 100%. Folic Acid helps, but I took that for 5 years while trying to get pregnant. I believe in miracles and prayer because to this day the doctors do not know how she is walking or running for that matter. She does not have the push down reflex that all babies and humans have on her left foot to walk. She is a miracle!
I am married to an amazing husband! He is my best friend. We have been married for 16 years. I am not that old...just married young.
I am a singer/songwriter (myspace.com/nicoletteblount), but once I had kids, I had to find another outlet for my creativity. It is hard to go sing jazz at clubs at night or sing in musicals when you have lil ones. I often say creativity consumes me at night...hence my insomnia. Anyways...I have always been crafty and artsy, so when I could not sing as much as I liked...I stayed up late designing and painting. I am self taught. I am currently enrolling in the Academy of Art University for design to further my love for designing for lil ones. :)
