If you follow me on Facebook you may have read that I would like to start prepping loads of food for the freezer and create weekly meal plans for Bug. She is just about 2 years old and eats pretty much everything (except when she is teething). I mainly cook her meals on the weekends to freeze but lately she has just been eating leftovers from our dinners which are sometimes not as healthy for Bug as I'd like them to be. So, here's the plan. I am going to do loads of prepping foods on the weekends (and sometimes during the week) mostly of foods to freeze or that are quick to make. I work full time and have busy Saturdays so my belief is that if I have time to make it, so do you.
The recipes will mainly come from these places:
and this great cookbook I got as a gift:
You can grab this book here on Amazon.
It's a very reasonable price and has a TON of great recipes for all ages.
I am going to give you all a list of what I am planning on prepping this week/weekend for Bug and I will start making meal plans next week. What day do you all prefer to have a meal plan posted? I would do it for Mmm, Mmm, Mondays {maybe changing it to Menu Planning Mondays} but I feel like it should be posted on a Friday or Saturday since my plan will be for Monday-Friday (weekends we are usually not home so she just eats whatever our family is having)
What I'll be prepping {hopefully}:
Breakfast Recipes:
French Toast (from the book)
Lunch/Dinner Recipes:
Mini Meatballs (from the book)
Turkey Meatloaf (from the book)
Turkey Patties (from the book)
Chicken Nuggets (from the book)
Some of these will be included in next weeks meal plan and they are all great to freeze. If you do not have the book I'm sure you can Google some recipes. Other recipes that are quick and easy to make and serve.
