{Tutorial Tuesdays} 60 Second Headband {and a flower tutorial}

If you haven't visited Cami's blog You Seriously Made That, you seriously should! She is an awesome crafter and guess what...she recently found out she was pregnant! Woo hoo! I bookmarked her tutorial for a 60 second headband and finally got around to making one!

Not counting the time it took for the glue gun to heat up, it literally took 60 seconds. Anyone can make this! I'll show you mine. It's not as fun, but I have worn it a lot already!

Even though Bug refuses to wear headbands I made one for her too hoping that she would wear it with her outfit for Mother's Day! I made a flower clip to match and attached it on the ribbon.

Here's a quick little tutorial on how to make the flower. You will need:
Silk flowers (you can find then at craft stores)
Glue Gun
Clip (I used an alligator clip)
Embellishment for the middle (or you can use what it came with)

Your flowers will come on a stem. All you have to do it pop it off and take your flower apart.

I took a few from the yellow and a few from the white to make it two toned.
Take the green backing and glue your petals on one at a time. (Using the backing it came on will make it look dimensional. Otherwise it will be a flat flower.)

Continue using all petals.

Glue a button, gem, anything you want to the middle.

Put a wad of glue on the alligator clip and attach the back of the flower. Do not close the clip until the glue is pretty much dry. (About 15 seconds) otherwise you may not be able to open it. You can never use too much glue so glob it on so your flower won't fall off. Be careful not to burn your fingers like I always seem to do.

I put a non slip grippy thing on the inside of the clip since I happened to have some on hand.

Ta da! You now have a flower clip to wear or attach to your new headband!

Not a happy camper at first.

But then she forgot about it for a while!
