{Toddler Tuesdays} Flower Hands

Flower Hands

This is such an easy project to do with your little one. Spring is in the air and Bug loves looking and smelling flowers. If you have some ink pads {you can also use finger paint} help your child make a few different color handprints across the paper. Draw on stems and grass and you have your own little flower garden picture.

It's always a great idea to connect art with experiences. Take your child outside to look at different flowers. Talk about their different colors & shapes and well as how they grow {you don't have to get into too many details unless your child is old enough to understand}. Bug and I talked about flowers needing sun and water. She even used her little watering can to water some of her Mimi's flowers.

If you'd really like to continue on the subject you can help your child plant some flowers too. We planted sunflowers a few weeks ago and they are now dead. Hence why I don't have any plants for Bug to water. I am a plant killer no matter how hard I try not to be. :(
